Serious Saints
Welcome to the Serious Saints’ inaugural season of our Spring Hockey Program. We are excited to be providing athletes from Saskatoon and across Saskatchewan a positive, productive 2024 Spring Hockey Season.
Our program is focused on promoting overall athletic development. We will strive to accomplish this by developing high-quality hockey skills, fundamentals, hockey sense, and experiences in a positive, dynamic, and competitive environment.
We will be offering the option for non-parent coached teams as well as ongoing support for our parent coaches throughout the season.
It is our intention to put player development first in our Spring Hockey Program. Teams will receive 20-30 hours of on and off-ice skill development from our specialized instructors and trainers.
We will strive to have the majority of practices on the weekends.
All training is based out of Rod Hamm/Harold Latrace Arena.
Tournament commitments will vary per age group.
We will be offering opportunities for co-ed players in the birth years of 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018 and female only players 2014, 2015, and 2016.
Pricing will vary per team based on the hours of on and off-ice development sessions assigned. Home and away jerseys will be provided for each team.
Families will be responsible for paying for travel, hotel, and team practices booked by coaches. These practices will be coach-led and focus on team tactics and systems.
Our expectations for our Serious Saints Spring players will be:
-Practice good teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship
-Be on time and attentive
-Be respectful to coaches, instructors, parents, officials, teammates and other players
-Always give your best effort on and off the ice
-Have fun!
We are excited to be holding a Prospects ID camp December 27th.
We are looking for future Serious Academy Saints players for our inaugural season and seasons to follow.

The purpose of these camps is to allow our staff to identify players who are ready to play Spring Hockey this coming season for the Serious Academy Saints.
We will sign most of our players out of the Prospect ID camps.

FULL ID SESSION SCHEDULE
The Saints evaluation ID sessions will consist of 45 minutes of on ice skills testing followed by a scrimmage. We will have outside evaluators as well as the coaching staff of each team doing the evaluation process. SAH instructors will be running the on and off ice sessions.
Following each group’s ice time players will go to our Performance Centre, located off the rear of Harold Latrace Arena. Players will meet our instructors and coaching staff as well as participate in a short dryland session and stretch.
All players will require full hockey equipment, a water bottle and workout wear, including indoor running shoes.
Tryout jerseys will be provided for the on ice session.
